The Dance Tapestry is the performing core of CYDT.

Entrance and participation is for students aged 18 years & over. Entrance is by audition, invitation or external recommendation

The objective of this program is to provide experiential opportunities for those with strong interests in pursuing arts at prre-professional and/or professional level.

Dance Tapestry targets students who are aspiring to become professional dancers, teachers, or choreographers. It is an intensive part-time training program where students receive extensive training in modern, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, afro-Caribbean, and lyrical dance.  These dancers attend classes 2 days per week or a total of 5 hour weekly. 

Auditions for the dance season are held in May each year for new and returning members.   Dancers interested in auditioning for CYDT Dance Tapestry must visit the studio to meet with the Artistic Director or the Lead Instructor
