About CYDT
Children and Youth Dance Theatre is a non-profit dance academy that’s dedicated to nurturing and developing the dance talents of children and youth between the ages of 2 – 15yrs. Established in 1993 as a labor of love for, CYDT has provided a structured, accessible and highaffordable arts learning program for everyone, especially children who are socially, culturally and financially marginalized.

As one of the best children and youth dance programs in Toronto, we take pride in offering classes to suit your child's needs.
WE ACCEPT STUDENTS FOR EACH DANCE SEASON BEGINNING IN JULY UNTIL DECEMBER!
We provide Recreational classes, teach our dancers Performance technique and skills, provide opportunities for them to explore the world of Competitive Dance and create Dance Performing memories through our Performing Company programme. If your child loves and wants to dance, or if you would like them to tap into their artistic soul, do get in touch with us, don’t hesitate.
What we do for our dancers.
Children and Youth Dance Theatre’s dance academy that has a lot to offer. We’ve been “Dancing since 1993” we provide classes to children from pre-beginner to advanced level. Whether your child’s aspiration is to become a professional dance artist, or they just want to enjoy dance as fun and recreation, CYDT has a program that is suitable for everyone. We offer programing throughout the year with instructors that provide quality training as teachers as well as choreographers. We engage our dancers in performances where they can experience dance in the community, dance at a professional level, and at the annual Dance Recital, where they can come together as friends to share their year of learning and personal best with parents, family and friends.
